As a former territorial engineer, he successively held positions as works manager, unit head, and then engineer responsible for coordinating complex projects, budget management, and public procurement oversight.
His career was also enriched by significant human and operational experience: Chief Warrant Officer of volunteer firefighters for thirty years, twenty of which as head of center, and airport firefighter, where he participated in establishing the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Service.
