Accessibility & Disability
“Inclusion is not about making everything possible, but about making everything that can be possible.”
— The Hexagone Aviation School Team
Our Commitment to Inclusion
At Hexagone Aviation School, we firmly believe that every learner should benefit from a welcoming, respectful, and needs-adapted training environment.
Our commitment is to facilitate access to our training programs and services, wherever feasible, for individuals with disabilities, while adhering to the regulatory requirements specific to civil aviation.
We endeavor to individually analyze each situation and propose reasonable accommodations where possible, whether for theoretical training, support pathways, or administrative activities within our school.
The Disability Liaison Officer
A Disability Liaison Officer is appointed within the school to assist any individual seeking information or requesting accommodations.
Their role is to assess needs, explore adaptation possibilities, and coordinate the implementation of a personalized support plan.
Their Primary Missions:
- Welcome and inform candidates and learners with disabilities.
- Identify specific needs and propose solutions adapted to the training context.
- Engage institutional partners (Agefiph, Cap Emploi, MDPH, etc.).
- Ensure the confidentiality of exchanges and the respect of personal data.

A Personalized Support
Approach
Each situation is unique. Therefore, we offer a case-by-case analysis to identify needs and explore adaptation possibilities.
Steps of the Process:
- Initial Contact with the Disability Liaison Officer (before or during training).
- Confidential Interview to understand specific needs.
- Development of an Adaptation Plan, within the limits of compatibility with the requirements of the targeted training.
- Implementation of Possible Accommodations (materials, pace, equipment, support).
- Regular Monitoring throughout the program.
📋 The information collected is strictly confidential and used solely to facilitate the implementation of potential adaptations
Possible Adaptations
Some of our training programs, particularly theoretical courses, can be adapted according to the learner's needs.
Accommodations are also possible in administrative, pedagogical, or logistical areas.
Examples:
- Accessible digital course materials (legible fonts, contrasts, editable formats).
- Adapted learning or assessment periods.
- Individual remote or in-person support.
- Selection of an adapted workstation, ergonomic furniture, and technical aids (e.g., magnifiers, headsets).
- Referral to specialized partners for complementary solutions.
🩺 Certain training programs, particularly those leading to a professional or private pilot license, require obtaining a medical certificate compliant with aviation regulations (Part-MED). These programs are only accessible to medically fit candidates.
Accessibility of our
sites
Our premises are partially accessible to individuals with reduced mobility.
We are progressively working to improve the accessibility of our training and reception areas, and to implement compensatory solutions where necessary.

Our Partners
To further enhance diversity within its school, Hexagone could leverage several strategies in the future:
We collaborate closely with specialized organizations supporting individuals with disabilities, including:
- Agefiph – support and funding for adaptive solutions.
- Cap Emploi – guidance and retention in training and employment.
- MDPH – administrative and social support.
- Local and regional associations supporting individuals with disabilities.
These partnerships enable us to offer comprehensive support and to seek appropriate assistance for each situation.
Frequently Asked Questions
➡️ Can I undertake training if I have a disability?
This depends on the nature of your disability and the desired training program. We assess each request individually to explore potential adaptive solutions.
➡️ Is a medical document required?
No, except for regulated training programs that necessitate an aeronautical medical certificate. In other cases, only information essential for implementing pedagogical accommodations will be requested.
➡️ Which training programs are compatible with a disability?
Certain theoretical training programs or supplementary modules (English language, exam preparation, e-learning) can be pursued with specific accommodations. The disability liaison officer will inform you about the concrete possibilities based on your situation.
A Sincere
and Evolving Approach
Our inclusion policy is founded on good faith, transparency, and the pursuit of reasonable solutions.
While we acknowledge that not everything is always feasible, we believe it is our responsibility to strive — to understand, adapt, and facilitate wherever possible.
Annually, an accessibility assessment is conducted, and improvement initiatives are implemented to reinforce our commitment to accommodating individuals with disabilities.
